another beginning.
Dec. 31st, 2010 03:01 pmi'm gearing up for the beginning of the next term. slowly. been sick, a lot lately. unfortunate. in fact i spent so much time the last few days vomiting that i am stuck at home while all my college friends get together for new years. i hate my immune system. (i blame my niece. don't tell my sister.)
just bought textbooks, for the three that i have the information for. only $142, so far. cross your fingers, and hope that my last course doesn't have much in the way of text books. i'd love to get by this term with less than $200 spent on texts (especially if, like last term, i don't bother to read a damn one of them.)
but i don't think i can bullshit my way through this term, like i did last semester. (even i have my limits :-P )
i keep meaning to write a list of things i wish customers didn't do at work, to the tune of all those articles that i've been seeing written by restaurant staff. unfortunately, i only seem to get worked up about it while i'm at work, without the time to write it down, and then by the time i'm home all i want to do is relax and not think about work anymore. but when i go back to work, it'll be in the middle of semi-annual sale, so i might get around to that, after all.
( things i should probably do. )
i want a wii fit for my apartment. i looked it up on amazon just now, i can get the wii fit plus and balance board, like what we got my mom for christmas, brand new for only $90. the wii we have here is technically mine. i looked up a replacement wii for my mother, for when i take mine back to lexington with me, and that'll cost about $200. butch can totally afford that. in a couple paychecks, i can probably set aside enough for the wii fit. that'll make me happy -- i really enjoy doing the yoga on the wii fit.
i am only rambling at this point -- waiting for molly to come pick up my christmas presents for hanover friends so that i go lay down. so, i guess that means i'll shut up :-P
